this past week i played in montreal with a guy who goes by dirty beaches.
the idea of his project is very minimal and elegant.
it comes across as very cinematic,
like if wong kar-wai remade mystery train.
textural lofi rockabilly performance art.
as you can probably guess, right up my alley.

i remember i came across his myspace a while back...lured in by the look of his page (the old photos and polaroids and stuff) was happy to find his music is awesome too!
