The past weekend I played a couple shows with my friends in Zacht Automaat. Though there was much shuffling of the cards and accommodating of extenuating circumstances the duo gave serious justice to their celestial recordings of 2010. They are playing their Toronto debut this Thursday the 25th of August. I won't go over for the billionth time the importance of their music, and how they are the most interesting instrumental 'rockishh' band going right now, but I will say this:
TO LIVE IN TORONTO IN FULL KNOWLEDGE OF THE ZACHT AUTOMAAT CONCERT, AND TO NOT ATTEND IT WOULD BE TANTAMOUNT TO CULTURAL NEGLIGENCE OF A CRIMINAL CAPACITY PUNISHABLE BY A COSMIC KIND OF WELTSCHMERZ.
Come out to the show. It also features the 2nd ever performance from my duo with Meghan of U.S. Girls. Our music has been described (by us) as: "like a walkie-talkie conversation between Motown and Outer Space."
