7 INCHES OF WINCES

Hey, sorry to have a second post in a row related to a release of mine... I promise to have some more interesting shit to read about come next week when I post my favourite albums of the decade.

BUT.

The fine folks at Best Of Both Records were kind enough to release a 7" featuring two songs of mine on the A side, and on the flip a longer track from Oslo band Le Corbeau which is the solo project of a dude in Serena Maneesh. The first track of mine is called Bar Fight. It's taken from Contempt! sessions, and is one of my favourite songs about stealing someone's wife - or at least attempting to (I have more than one). The other is called Chime Empire, and is an instrumental that was on my first EP, the self released original (and gone) Whiite Fantaseee. I wrote it after seeing Inland Empire, it's got vibe to spare. Also, like a lot of my releases it features a photograph by slimfave Danielle Nemet.

If you are interested, supplies are of course limited (but not too limited). It's available in Toronto & Oslo record stores, and by emailing me here: slimtwig at gmail dot com

i hope you are festively well, take care of your peoples.

PS. Alex from Dirty Beaches took some pretty hilarious photos of our recent US tour. If you want to see me wildin out over some dumb shit, please visit dirtybeaches.blogspot.com

Can't wait to hear your best albums of the decade. But I have one question; how short is this list? I mean to say, how many albums did Vampire Weekend release this decade?

ALSO

So as to avoid a grave embarrassment on your part, I'd like to remind you that though it was birthed in just the first few blooming months of 2000, Finger Eleven's 'The Greyest of Blue Skies' is eligible for this list.
