MOVIES

Did you know that the movie-making desire is actually an infectious disease that spreads rapidly in close quarters?

My parents have been at it for almost 30 odd years, always chipping away. And now my lovely wife has caught this bug. Am I the only one still clinging to the insta-gratifcation that (sometimes) comes with the act of music making?

In any case, Meg has a deeply and distinctly felt vision of what it is to be female in our world and everything she does is imbued with this powerful feeling. She does many things well, but regardless of format the same feeling remains. If you're in tune to it, it really hits you. Check out her first short film 'Inside The Village By The Grange' below.

And in other news, should you be a film festival enthusiast, please look out for my scoring of the new documentary from Hubert Sauper - 'We Come As Friends'. It was a real honour to work on such a disturbing and beautiful film. Hubert is a poet of the documentary. It has just premiered at Sundance, and will travel to Berlinale among others. Will most likely post more about the film later on.
